Over 50 years ago, Joseph F. Dobrik and Dr. A.A. Stahl founded a complete eye care facility under the name of Dobrik Opticians. In the years that followed, they experienced tremendous growth in spite of intense competition in the eye care field. The company's success was attributed to the thorough nature of their examinations and the extra care taken to satisfy their patients.
More recently, the name Eye Care Optometry was adopted and is now under the leadership of Dr. Kenneth Stoller, Dr. Joseph Montana and manager/optician Helga Johnson. The business continues to succeed operating under the same patient-oriented philosophy established when the company was first founded.
DOCTORS
Dr. Montana, O.D.
Dr. Montana, O.D. has been in private optometric practice for over 27 years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Montana, O.D.enjoys the challenge of difficult cases, especially those involving advanced dry eye problems and medically necessary contact lenses. Dr. Montana is also a member of the Michigan and American Optometric Associations and the St. Lawrence Chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
Dr. Stoller, B.S., O.D.
Dr. Stoller received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Michigan State University and graduated cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Stoller was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa and Tomb and Key honor fraternities, as well as the Contact Lens Society. While in Chicago he did an internship in the Low Vision Clinic of the Westside Veterans Administration Hospital. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Michigan and American Optometric Associations.
OFFICE MANAGER / OPTICIAN
Helga Johnson
Helga Johnson graduated with honors from optical trade school in Frankfurt, W. Germany in 1962 after completing a 3.5 year apprenticeship. She has worked for Dobrik Opticians/Eye Care Optometry since then as an optician, and later as office manager. As a member of the Paraoptometric Society, she attends lectures and trade shows regularly to be informed of the latest innovations and changes in the optical industry. Familiar with all phases of lab work, she is an accomplished optician who will always give you her best and most caring service.
